Kirk has been practicing chiropractic in the Cowichan Valley for nearly 18 years, and the consortium of doctors and health care practitioners under one roof, as Young Health Management has been his vision for several years.
Kirk is an Okanagan native who moved to the island in 1996. His post secondary education began at the University of Lethbridge studying sciences and playing varsity hockey. After three years, he transferred to Western States Chiropractic College in Portland Oregon to complete his doctorate. He has been practicing chiropractic in the Cowichan Valley for nearly 18 years and has loved his decision to move to the island.
Health and disease prevention has always been a major interest for Kirk and so the vision of Young Health Management has been brewing for quite some time. It is a privilege to work alongside other health care professionals that share the same philosophy for a healthier lifestyle all the while offering the convenience of multifaceted wellness disciplines in one central location.
A certain portion of Kirk’s chiropractic practice involves pain management of both acute and chronic conditions such as neck and back pain. He is also focused on overall health and wellness, providing his patients with treatment and information required to achieve a healthier, more productive and fulfilling life.
He feels very fortunate for the opportunity to work, live and play in such a beautiful place. In his spare time, he can be found camping in the summer with his family while enjoying coaching and playing the great game of hockey in the fall and winter months.
One of the mottos Kirk lives by is found in a quote that sums up his philosophy so nicely.
“To insure good health: eat lightly, breathe deeply, live moderately, cultivate cheerfulness, and maintain an interest in life.” – William Londen
