Low-level laser therapy (LLLT), also known as photobiomodulation, is a cold laser that facilitates a painless treatment using clinically tested wavelengths of light to stimulate natural biological processes leading to faster healing and pain relief.
Like plants absorbing sunlight through photosynthesis, cells in the body absorb laser energy that stimulates the body to release pain-relieving compounds, increases circulation and energizes the cells to participate in the healing process.
There are no side effects, it is very gentle on the nervous system and many times laser therapy can take the place of pharmaceuticals and surgery to treat long-term, degenerative diseases.
Three types of stimulation in a treatment:
Pain reduction: reduces pain transmision to the central nervous system and improves local trophicity.
Regeneration: accelerates tissue reconstruction, restores cell functions and accelerates the healing and regeneration, process both superficially and deep.
Relaxation: facilitates release of acute and chronic tensions and muscle contractures; like whiplash, tennis elbow and more.
For Children
Laser acupuncture can treat growing pains, allergies, digestion challenges, anxiety, and more.
For Adults
All acupuncture treatments are possible, with great results for stuck or sore muscles like plantar fasciitis or frozen shoulder. Laser is also very effective for painful period and other fertility challenges.
